Hindustan Zinc Ltd has informed BSE that the commencement of Zinc Metal production on December 11, 2007 from Hydro Phase II having a capacity of 1,70,000 TPA at Chanderiya Lead Zinc Smelter, Chanderiya — Rajasthan.
With the commencement of above production, the total Zinc and Lead capacity of the Company is now 6,70,000 TPA. The project was completed in the Bench Mark time frame of 20 months, which is a quarter ahead of schedule.
